Wythe & Knapman
Laurence and Tim have written three musicals together so far. They won a competition to write a new musical for the town of Corby and Danni Hero was the result. They’ve also written Midnight, a supernatural romantic thriller set in the darkest days of Stalinism (Union Theatre, London; Daemyung Culture Factory, Seoul) and the family musical Growl: The True Story of the Big Bad Wolf (first performed by the National Youth Music Theatre on a UK tour).
Laurence’s internationally acclaimed off-Broadway musical Tomorrow Morning was nominated for Best New Off-Broadway Musical in the Outer Critics' Circle Awards of 2011, won the Chicago Jeff Award for Best Musical in 2009 and has played around the world on four continents in six languages, with three international cast albums available. The show will return to London in a brand new, updated production in 2021.
Laurence’s other work as a composer and lyricist includes Creatives with Irvine Welsh (Edinburgh Festival and Chicago; currently in development for a TV series). Through the Door (book by Judy Freed) was seen in the West End starring Julie Atherton and Paul Keating in 2009, and has since also played in Seoul.
Timothy Knapman is a bookwriter, lyricist, playwright and children’s author. Other musicals include: with composer/lyricist Stuart Matthew Price, Before After (St James Theatre, London; Musical-za, Tokyo; Southwark Playhouse livestream) and Imaginary (National Youth Music Theatre); with Alex Silverman and Ed Jaspers, Hamlet! The Musical (Edinburgh Fringe, Northampton, Richmond).

"There are SO many brilliantly talented people on this site that it’s impossible to choose. But Luke and Michael make us laugh, Eamonn touches the heart, Applin and Pearse work wonders and Tim Sutton is a great guy who writes lovely music."
