HELEN GOLDWYN
Helen wrote the music, lyrics, arrangements and script for her trio ‘Ladies GoDiva’ between 2010 and 2015, during which time the shows were performed at The English Theatre of Hamburg and London venues including Zedels, Café de Paris, The Pheasantry and on UK tour. Her song ‘Your Music’ had a featured performance on BBC2’s ‘See Hear’ TV programme and was also performed on tour with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Helen and Kevin Wooding’s song ‘Do You Believe in Magic’ was a finalist in the ‘Last Choir Singing’ and ‘The Xmas Factor’ competitions. Her song ‘Let’s Go Gay’ was a semi-finalist in the ‘International Songwriting Competition’.
When not composing, Helen is a busy scriptwriter, director and producer of audio drama with Big Finish Productions. She produced and co-wrote
the original audio drama series ‘ATA Girl’ which was a Highly Commended finalist in the BBC Audio drama awards and a finalist in the New York Audie Awards 2021. Other produced scripts include: The Primeval Design; Human Kind; Subterfuge; Flying Blind; The Hardest Day; Mother Tongue; The Escape Room; The Taste of Death; Stemming The Tide. Helen is also the writer of the one-woman play ‘Pulling Faces’, which was produced on UK tour by TLC Productions and published by Upstage. Helen was an actress and singer for 20 years, is still a prolific voice actor and is the winner of the ‘One Voice Award’ for radio performance 2018.
Biog for Kevin Wooding - Co-writer for 'Gonna Be Big' and 'Do You Believe in Magic': Kevin started composing at the age of 7 and was playing his compositions on Radio New Zealand by age 11. After studying music in Australia and New Zealand, he began teaching both jazz and classical piano in schools and colleges in the UK. It was not long before he was writing easy piano pieces for his pupils. He currently composes and teaches in Oxford and London.
