Edis & Howard
Teresa Howard and Steven Edis have been writing partners for many years and work together includes: I Capture the Castle, the musical, based on the much loved coming-of-age novel by Dodie Smith (Watford Palace Theatre, Oxford Playhouse and Bolton Octagon); Possessed, a haunting Pre-Raphaelite love story, which will be brought to life as an immersive production at the Frogmore Paper Mill, Hertfordshire in 2021; and they are working on a new show based on the life of fossil hunter Mary Anning.
Steven is a composer, arranger and musical director and has written and arranged music for a raft of productions at the RSC, National Theatre, West End and regional theatre. He is also part of the Hackney Empire Panto team and can sometimes be found playing the piano for the Comedy Store Players impro nights. Recent credits include music for the entertainment Where Is Peter Rabbit? with lyrics by Alan Ayckbourn, The Silver Sword, and Trevor Nunn's production of Agnes Colander.
Teresa is a playwright, librettist, lyricist, and recent work includes a development residency at the at the RSC writing book & lyrics for The Wind Singer, and collaboration with classical composer Keting Sun on two short operas, Milk and New Genus, and Unsung, a song cycle recording commission for Conrad Sclar. Teresa is a Mercury Musical Developments and Hosking Houses Trust Board member and has brought together the two trusts to create residencies for musical theatre women writers.
